The 2025 Hansik Cooking Contest is a Korean culinary competition celebrating the UNESCO registration of Jang culture. Participants must create a dish using Jang, a traditional Korean sauce. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, compete for cash prizes, and even represent your dish in Korea!
[Eligibility]
• Open to all residents in Ireland who are interested in Korean cuisine (excluding Korean nationals).

🏆 1st place: €500
🥈 2nd place: €400
🥉 3rd place: €300
[How to Enter]
The contest consists of two rounds:
●Online Preliminary Round
To enter, follow these steps:
1. Complete the Application Form
• You must fill out the official application form to enter the competition.
• Submit the form along with your recipe and video link (details below).
2. Create a dish using Jang (장)
• Your dish can be of any type (appetizer, main course, side dish, etc.), but it must include Jang as an ingredient.
3. Submit your entry
• Recipe Submission: Write a detailed recipe that includes:
• A list of ingredients
• Step-by-step cooking instructions
• Video Submission: Record yourself cooking and explaining the dish.
• Upload the video to YouTube (it can be set as private, but it must have a shareable link).
• DO NOT submit MP4s or direct video files—only share the YouTube link.
4. Send your application
• Submit your completed application form, recipe, and YouTube video link via email to: ireculture@mofa.go.kr
• Deadline: April 25th, 23:59PM
5. Judging & Selection
• A panel of judges will review your recipe and video.
• If successful, you will advance to the live final round at Dublin Cookery School!
●Live Final Round (June 5th, Dublin Cookery School)
• Selected contestants will compete in a live cooking challenge.
• The winner will receive €500 and the opportunity to travel to Korea to showcase their dish!
